I joined Edmonton Grammar School in my third year of secondary school after moving from Ulverston Grammar School in Lancashire in 1966.
Since it was my third secondary school in as many years I was relieved to be able to get down to some serious school work for the next few years, well try anyway.....

I remember his first day and being inroduced to the class - must have been very daunting when we had all been together for a few years by then - we thought him very exotic with his northern accent - he soon palled up with the rest of the gang of three - David Khan, Jeffrey Tebbutt and Steve and then the fun began - poor chemistry lab and poor chemistry teacher !!!!
